Hello blog, so to star with this blog we first have to know the definition of a pitch. So, a pitch is a Hollywood term to describe an idea where a film is encapsulated in 25 words or less. Usually with one sentence. In my own words, it is a brief story that makes an engagement with the audience because it creates interest.   Now that we know what is a pitch, we can talk about my assignment: my pitch assignment. Basically, my pitch assignment was to create two brief stories because of those two, we were going to choose one to do our final video. Lastly, we had the pitch meeting but I’m gonna save that story for another blog!

Hello blog! I have chosen to do the final task for my AICE Media Studies exam with Gabriel Hernandez and Evelin because they were my group for all the year. Also, we have some ideas on our mind but we’re not so sure so we will wait to the pitch meeting so the teacher can help us.  This group that I chose it’s the group that I’ve worked with all year. We work well together and I think we will make a great movie, also they know me and I know them so we get along together!! They are super funny and they have such good ideas for everything. I like to be with them because our personalities are so different but we compliment each other. For example, Evelin is quiet and she has really good skills editing. Gabriel, it’s so funny and It’s a good actor, I always think that he should be in a telenovela. And last but not least, there is me,I always do jokes and I laugh about everything, so if you hear someone laughing in the classroom is probable me,  I also really like to record and to produce the films that we make.

Hello Blog, so.. to introduce myself I would like to start saying that I’m a girl that always fight for their dreams, no matter what, and if I want something I would find it. I’m Rosana Colmenares, a Hispanic girl from Venezuela, that just moved one year and a half ago, that is eighteen years old, that is still learning everyday, that is constantly fighting for their beliefs, that is sweet but when I get angry… be careful. Furthermore, I started this blog because  I wanted to know more about videos and editing softwares because I wanted to start my own youtube business, now that I have it I’m doing very successfully and I think I have a path deciding what I want to study in college. In another hand, this class has helped me a lot to be more creative because in every video that we do everything has to be planned and we have to convert what we have in our brain into a reality and it’s awesome how we can do it. Finally, I would like to thank my teacher for guiding us through this path of the Media Studies, she had give us all her knowledge to be better everyday and she has been so patient and sweet, than you Mrs. De Santis!

Hello blog, buenas noticias!! (good  news in spanish) We finally ended our project that we were working on one month ago. It was a tough time because many things happened doing the video but, we successfully made it, so now everything is OK. Today, we did on the study hall the final touches with the editing and all the effects, and we plugged in the audio that I mention two blogs ago, so yeah with anything more to say, I hope that Mrs. de Santis enjoy our video. We put so much effort on it!

Hello blog, how you all doing? So last class we edited the video a little bit but… I twisted my ankle so I just went to class for like 5 minutes. Anyways, I think we’re going to finish the video tomorrow and we should present it next week. To tell you a little bit more about the video, it was not so easy because we actually have to act like real actors, and to take the shots with two cameras and all that stuff but it was so funny so I’ll definitely do it again, it was a challenge.  Also, I just downloaded the audio for the auto tune part and the video to show it in class before showing our version.

Hola, hello blog! I’m missing a blog so here I am again… So our movie scene it’s from a TV Show called ”Modern Family” but… I haven’t realized til’ this moment that it has a scene where someone is talking on the phone so I have to download the actual video but just the audio because we’re going to put it as auto-tune or something like that, it’s actually kinda cool because we learn about everything on the production-film area and it makes me realize how difficult it’s to record a COMPLETE MOVIE. Because, I actually get very stressed for just 1:30-2 min I can’t imagine something that lasts 2 hours or more, it should be a very hard work. Anyways. I think I talked too much, so bye blog!!

Hello blog!! So we filmed on Monday and it was amazing, we finally have everything in place, we just need to edit it. So as in the last project, we are going to use Wondershare Filmora as our editor, because it’s pretty good and so easy to use. Today, was a PSD day so we didn’t do much because the class was only 15 minutes longer, so we just uploaded all the files to my computer to start with the edition next class. Also, I missed Mrs. De Santis today.

Hello blog, so today we did the recordings of the movie scene and it turned out absolutely amazing, I’m so proud of the awesome team that we’ve created through this year; we are so different in some many ways but we understand each other and things get pretty well done. I’m so excited to start to edit it because record it, believe me, it was so much fun. We laugh for hours and we did an amazing job. Also, it’s so similar to the one that we look up so i think it’s gonna be DOPE.

Hello blog!!! We will make the movie scene for our new project on Monday, so we are going to start recording at the street of my house. I’m so excited to do it because I love to act as well as I love to hold the camera and do some funny shots. So this is our storyboard and it describes our film, and it’s a good way to have an idea of how the story is going to turn out, also is a good way to have our story organized and to know exactly what we have to do.

Hello blog, it’s been a loooong time since I posted the last time. We had some days off because of thanksgiving but now we are back and ready to start this new project! So in my days off, my group and I had the great great idea about doing a scene from the TV show ”Modern Family”, and we all loved it even though it’s from a TV Show that we don’t watch often. Also, I think we are going to film it the following week, so it would be exciting to film and we always have so much fun in the process.
