1. How does your product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social groups or issues?

The genre of my music video is slow ballad. The similarity with other videos of the same genre it’s that every ballad video tells a story, but the difference in this video is that it describes the purpose that leaded the main character to suicide. Also, this video points the following categories:

1. The fact that it looks like a heterosexual relationship
2.  It is a women with a transgender men.

This video challenge conventions because it is a relationship between a women and a transgender.

2. How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text?

This video catches  the audience attention because it is uncommon and it’ll make people want to watch the whole thing. Everyone will want to see it because it break the standards and it’s not conventional. Also, the audience will be so intrigued about the conclusion and how it ends. I’ll make people watch it by saying ‘’LOVE IS LOVE’’ and the way you express love doesn’t matter, all that matters is that everyone of us has their significant one, I’ll start on Instagram because I consider that this social media app is what people uses the most, and also because I have many followers and it can be successful.

3. How did your production skills develop throughout this project?

This project increased my acknowledge about production & edition. It made me have more enthusiasm about the storyboard and how fictional things can be applied. Also, it made me learn about how to use Wondershare Filmora like a PRO and it encouraged me to made my own videos. This app  allowed me to not only adjust brightness to my images but also add transitions and music to it. Lastly, it give me a clear idea about what I want to study: Media Studies.

4. How did you integrate technologies—software, hardware and online—in this project? 

For software I used Wondershare Filmora, it helped me to shape my video in the way I wanted. For hardware we used the Canon handheld camera and my dell laptop. And lastly, we used wordpress to blog the process of the video making and also we used an MP3 video converter to download the music for our music video.  

Hello blog, so at the time I’m writing this blog I’m giving my video the final re-touches. Today is the due date so we are under so much pressure but I know that everything will be fine and everything would worth our effort at the end. My team and I put all our love in this music video because is something that we really like and we really want everything to look great, It’s not just for a grade but a big accomplishment for us!! Also, Reflectional Questions are due next class so you will see them in my next blog.

Hola, Hello blog! Today was SO COOL in class, our music video is almost ready, we are giving it the final touches but the edition is SO FLAWLESS, I’m so happy that we found a perfect software-and video editor- because it had made our lives easier. We could perfectly frame all our visions in this video and we had put all our effort in it. Also, we saw the reflectional questions today, I’m a little bit nervous but I know I can do it.

Hello blog! So now we are officially editing our MUSIC VIDEO, isn’t that awesome?? As I told you before we are not longer using iMovie, but we are using Wondershare Filmora. It has a LOT of transitions, effects and it’s way easier to use. We are using a lot of effects because our music video has some ”flashbacks” so it looks like a memory. Also, we shot some real cool polaroids to make it more vintage. I can’t wait for you to see it! I’m sure everyone would love our idea.

Hi blog!! I missed you guys, it’s been a long time since my last blog. Well, last class was kinda quick and time went so fast because it was a PSD day so we have less time. In most cases I’ll have said that it was fun because I wanted to go home but, this is not the case. I have so much fun doing and editing this music video. And I’m so hapy that we learned so many pretty tricks in class about editing because we are using them and it’s turning out so good!

Hellooo, welcome back to my blog. So on Saturday we record the video, one part was at my house, one part was at the park and one part was at the beach. I think my favorite part is the park one because we had so much fun shooting there. My mom was with us and she bring us snacks and soda to have a good time while we were filming. Also, we couldn’t find a guy for the music video but we realized that we could be a  fake lesbian couple for a day. All we have to do now is edit and have fun.

HELLO THERE! Today, finally, we finish our storyboard and I really liked the way it turned out. We are going to use a song named ”for forever” and to be honest I’ve never listened that song until 1 week ago, but when I heard the song it was like WOW WE NEED TO USE THIS, because it is exactly our idea. I’m surprised and happy that I can know new songs and new things through this project. By the way, we already set our filming time and location, it is going to be in my home at 2 pm on Saturday. I can’t wait to record it…

Hello my beautiful readers, how are you? So last class my mind was completely blank but today I got a lot of  cool and unique ideas that will definitely be a part of our music video. As soon as we finish the storyboard (where we plan everything) we are going to start recording. We all want to appear in the music video so it’s gonna be fun. I think we are going to be ready by wednesday. By the way, Evelin (the girl in my group besides Gabi aka Caninisima) has pretty good ideas, she should be a Hollywood producer!!!

Hello there, so last class we show our classmates our commercial and it was so fun to watch their reactions and they laugh so much. Then, we started to talk about our video project that is going to be BOOOMB! Also, we started to do our storyboard about the video and I loved how we projected the idea, I cannot wait to do it and to record it. I think we are going to do the video in my house and at the beach. Hopefully everyone would like it.

Hi there!! Today I am so happy because we finalize our project today. We finish editing and we submitted it. By the way, today I fell in the school and I got dirty -but not the way you think lol- but I have very good friends so they got so many things to clean me up. However, I think we are going to show our commercial in the next class and I am so excited about what are going to say our classmates, I want to see their reactions!
