Hi blog! So days ago we recorded our critical reflection questions and they turned out awesome!! This four questions were really challenging for me because I did a video talking and sometimes I consider myself really shy. Also, english is not my first language and I was really nervous because of that but everything was good. I feel grateful for my group and this year was really the best year ever with this class. As some of you know, I am a a senior so in a couple days I´ll be gone to try new experiences and to do new trhings, but I will always remeber this class, because it taught me how to be responsible.

Hi blog, here is the link to the final video!!! I’m so excited to show you guys our final project and I swear we did this project with all of our love and best energy.

I learned how to film handheld, how to improve the lighting even in a dark room and to use different settings in the camera. My favorite part was to record on the train station because it required less work and we didn’t have to use different settings for the lighting stuff. My least favorite part was the basement because we didn’t have too much space to record and it was hot. On the other hand, I finally decided the path that i want to take in college, and that path is Film Production. I really believe that this class has taught me a lot of different things, like to use new softwares to edit and to find proper dresses and props for every film that we have made. Also, how to download music from  Youtube and how to import music and add it to timeline

I feel like this project will be always a part of me, I grown as a video maker, film producer and I learnt a lot of things. Now, I know that I have to appreciate more when I see this type of videos because they took time and dedication, and a LOT of planning.

Hello blog, how you all doing? So these past days in class have been so crazy because we are running out of time and we have to finish the video edition. Gabriel found the most amazing songs ever to put in our video so we spent some time watching tutorials about how to download a song. Also, Evelin did an amazing job with the voice-over of the clip in the part that the kidnapper is talking on his phone (oops spoiler). And I have to congratulate myself because I did an excellent job too finding the costumes and the props for the video. So going back to the edition part, I think we are almost done, we just have to put the titles and the music and check that everything is correct.

Hi blog, I’m back after a fun and relaxing spring break. During spring break we meet up in my house because we wanted to edit our project and to see an overall of the final project. It makes me so happy that everything is going okay and we’re almost finish, I put a lot of effort and enthusiasm in this project. Also, today we are editing the video and we are aware that it has to be less than 2 minutes, so what we did it’s that we put all the clips together, saw it, without editing, and then we started to crop it. We want to make sure that the video looks perfect because we have to send it to Cambridge and we want to make our high school proud of us. I think we are going to finish it next class, because we are missing the titles right now. Bye blog!!!!

Hello blog, Rosi here again! So on Sunday we record again for our project, and we did the final part, so now we just have to edit. As usual, we meet in my house first and I did Gabriel’s makeup but this time I did fake bruises on him and it looked so real. Also, I did Evelin’s makeup because she was kidnapped too so she had to look like someone ”abuse” her and I painted a lot of bruises in her arms and legs.  Then we went to Gabriel’s house to record the laundry part, and it’s exactly how we described it: creepy and dark.  In my opinion, this time recording was not that easy because we did more things and we installed lights and everything because we wanted it to be like a real movie. Finding the lights was not that hard because I have a makeup channel and I use all those tools.

Hello blog, so as I told you we recorded last Sunday so we started to edit in this class because we want to save time -and we don’t have that much. We have to present the film on April 3rd so we have to take advantage of the time. Also, we planned to be together one day during spring break so we can edit too. Anyways, we did a lot of shots of the views and we can put that as fade in and fade out combined with the titles. But, I think that we are going to edit the whole movie first and then we are going to insert the subtitles/ text on screen because it’s much easier and we can know exactly the time they have to last.

Hello blog, I’m back once again. On Sunday we started to film the first part of our big project called ”Unequivocal Androgyne”, we met in my place @10 am and I did Gabriel’s makeup. Gabriel dressed up as a woman for the first time and it was so emotional and special, I feel so proud that I was part of his transformation. Also, my dad was acting for the first time in his entire life and I think he did pretty good -he thinks he deserves an Oscar, but he’s a little bit exaggerated-. He did the kidnapper role, so basically he had to kidnap Gabriel and take him to the basement. The basement part is going to be filmed next Sunday because we didn’t have time last sunday. Furthermore, Evelin and I were so aware of every little detail on the film because we wanted it to be perfect. We looked up some articles on internet about kidnapers and how to fake them. Hi blog, so tomorrow is the day that we’re going to officially start filming and we are planning our itinerary. First of all, since we are going to record with my dad like one of the main characters we are going to meet in my house. So, in my house we are going to do Gabriel’s and Evelin’s makeup and also my mom is going to help us with the costumes to be perfectly dressed. Oh, I almost forgot, they come to my house at 10 am. Secondly, when we finish everything in my house we are going to the train station to record the first scenes. And last but not least, we are going to the parking lot where the magic will happen (aka kidnapping lol). I hope that we can finish everything tomorrow so we will have a lot of time to edit. Finally, we are going to eat something because it would be a looooong day.

Hello blog, this past weekend I went with one of my partners of the film to the ”Coral Ridge Mall” to find his costume because he’s gonna be dressed as a pretty woman. We went to Old Navy, TJMAXX, Ross and Target to find the perfect outfit so he can blend as a woman. Also, we went to buy makeup at Ulta because they always sell good things at good prices. We bought a foundation, concealer, blush, powder and mascara, just the basic things to do a really good makeup. Furthermore, we had a budget of $100 USD and we spent $67USD so we saved almost half of it. Finally, we went to have some dinner at Chipotle’s.
